"The Race of Gentlemen" (TROG) is a 201m drag race on a sandy beach, as close as possible in style and atmosphere to the American races of the 30-50s. I love this atmosphere and I love to write pictures about these races.
The painting depicts a retro competition car rushing along a smooth surface, perhaps a beach or promenade. The driver is wearing stylish goggles and a helmet, giving the scene an early 20th century feel.
