Demon sitting. Female version

The painting is inspired by Mikhail Vrubel's Demon Sitting, but reinterpreted in a female form and in a different emotional tone. The figure of the woman in the center of the composition is strong but vulnerable, immersed in her thoughts amidst a whirlwind of cherry blossoms. Her pose refers to the classical sitting demon, but instead of gloom, here it is spring, blossoming, ironically contrasting with her inner state. Deep, saturated strokes emphasize anxiety, and pink petals, like thoughts, are scattered around and on her. The painting explores the theme of loneliness, inner struggle and female strength in the midst of seeming harmony.
