Oriental motifs

The painting depicts a still life with oriental motifs. In the center of the composition stands a tall metal jug with a long curved spout and a thin handle. Its shiny surface reflects bright spots of color. Behind the jug, a large copper or bronze tray is visible, creating a background and enhancing the decorative nature of the scene. On the left is a ceramic bowl with yellow-orange fruit, next to it a bunch of green grapes falling downward. In the foreground are three apples: two red and one green. The background of the painting consists of draperies in rich lilac-violet colors, decorated with ornamental spots. The colors are based on the contrast of cool and warm shades - purple, orange, green and golden. The work gives an impression of richness and decorativeness, conveying the atmosphere of oriental hospitality and refinement.
