A fragment of an era. Ornament of the city
the inspiration for this work was the concrete tiles from the balcony partitions of a house in the post-soviet space. its geometry, at first glance utilitarian, holds a special aesthetic - an ornament of everyday life, a common code for many apartments and lives.
On the canvas, the concrete pattern turns into a fragment of lost writing. it is a memory of the space where generations have grown up, and a reminder of the beauty that is hidden in the most familiar details
The image is an abstract composition with curved lines and undulating shapes, rendered in silver color against a brown tone background. These elements create a sense of movement and dynamism, evoking an interest in form and texture. The work brings to mind the harmony and interplay between elemental and structured elements.
