This is a work about inner peace and the ability to be in one's own company. The tree here is not just a part of the landscape, but a living image of self-sufficiency. In any weather, in any season, it remains rooted in itself - and from this it creates a space of coziness and silence around it. Despite changing conditions, the tree continues to be home to light, shade, and air. It does not require attention, but fills the natural and urban environment with itself. It was important to me, as an author, to appropriate this feeling - what trees give us with their presence: a coziness with ourselves, an inner support, an effortless stability. This painting is an attempt to hold on to this state and make it my own.
