One day my mom and I went to take a picture. I had a little monkey sitting on my stroller. Suddenly its owner started to say very sternly, "Jasmine, sit up straight, Jasmine!"
My mom was scared at first and even a little angry because she thought he was scolding me. She wanted to come over and ask him why he was talking to me like that. And then it turned out that the monkey's name was Jasmine too.
When we realized this, my mom and I started laughing so hard that it was impossible to stop us. That's the moment that made it into the picture, so there I am smiling with my mouth full of laughter.
Then I decided to paint myself in this image. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo. I learned that she had been through so many challenges: severe illnesses, surgeries, pain, and long periods of being bedridden. But despite all this, she was able to keep her fortitude, her love for life and continued to create.
The painting depicts a woman in a bright red dress wearing a wreath of green leaves on her head. She looks directly at the viewer with a confident expression, emphasizing her individuality and strength.
