"Kenzhekei's dowry" is a work inspired by the Kazakh epic and fairy tale "Yer Tostik". The painting depicts the mythical camel Aktyus, a symbol of strength, endurance and prosperity. According to legend, it had incredible power and could carry an entire yurt. Aktus was given to Kenzhekei by her father as a valuable dowry, representing wealth, protection and connection to the nomadic culture of the steppe. The composition combines real and fairy-tale images: the white yurt seems to become part of the animal's body, turning the camel into a living house, a bearer of memory and tradition. The dark, multi-layered background enhances the feeling of mythology and ancient tale, while the light shades of the figure create the effect of inner glow. The painting is made with acrylic on canvas in paste technique. Volumetric strokes, sweat and textured surface emphasize the materiality of the image and give the work emotional expressiveness.
