Author's work in mixed technique. Kazakh ornament lives on the canvas painted with acrylic paints. It is cut without a template from dense handmade felt - its scarlet, textured forms have their own energy and palpable volume. The contours and internal lines are embroidered on top of the threads, like a secret cipher through the material. This work is a plastic formula of memory where the artisanal texture of felt, the energy of color and flexible pattern fuse into a single symbol. "Flame of Kin" is a bond cut with scissors and stitched with thread, the frozen warmth and recognizable handwriting of tradition in a contemporary gesture. Technique: canvas on a stretcher, acrylic, felt applique, hand embroidery.
